Chandler Brook Preserve

Location: Off of North Road in North Yarmouth between St. Lawrence and Atlantic rail line and Chandler Brook

Size: 65 acres

Description: Part of an old farm, two large hay fields and a hemlock forest dominate this spectacular property that borders Chandler Brook, one of the Royal River’s main tributaries. Visitors will find trails that parallel Chandler Brook and connect the upper and lower fields. Please park in the small gravel parking area just north of the railroad bridge on North Road in North Yarmouth (roughly a mile north of Dunn's Corner and the intersection with Memorial Highway/Rt. 9), and walk along the right-of-way to the property's entrance at the gated railroad crossing. Please do not cross onto the neighbor's property to the left as you walk toward the tracks.
