| Moonwalk at Pisgah Hill.
Please join us on Thursday, March 8th, 2012, from 6pm to 8:30 pm.
We'll watch the March full moon rise from RRCT's most recent land purchase at our soon-to-be unveiled Pisgah Hill Preserve. Meet at the Dewan farm at 70 Dougherty Road in New Gloucester, near the Pownal line. Plenty of parking will be available and the barn will be open and well-lit for tours and visiting. The walk/snowshoe will leave from the Dewan barn and cross their field and Jane Arbuckle's field to our planned trail to the high spot on Pisgah Hill, a half mile trek each way. Snacks will be provided on high, while we watch the full moon rise. The Dewan farm is located about 1/2 mile south-east of Route 231 (Intervale Road) on the Dougherty Road in New Gloucester. The red barn and white house will be on your left if you arrive from Intervale. Dress warm, with good boots or snowshoes and poles depending on snow depth, and bring headlights or flashlights and a thermos and camera.
