Littlejohn Island Preserve
Location: In Yarmouth at the northeastern end of Littlejohn Island, at the end of Pemasong Lane

Description: This outstanding coastal property boasts spectacular views of Casco Bay, beautiful rocky beaches, and stately red oaks that offer perches to bald eagles and great horned owls. Visitors are welcome to walk, snowshoe, and ski the trail hugging the coast, although be advised that this is a new trail and some sections need maintenance. Dogs are welcome, but please - don't let your dog harass wildlife or wander onto the neighbor's property, and kindly keep the trail free of dog waste. Hunting is by permission only. Parking at this preserve is extrememly limited so please bike or walk if you can.
Directions: After crossing on to Cousins Island, turn left onto Talbot Road by the Littlejohn Community House. Cross the bridge onto Littlejohn Island, then turn left onto Littlejohn Road. Bear left onto Pemasong Lane. Follow Pemasong Lane (please drive slowly) until you reach a parking area on the left, just before the stone gate with the "private" sign on it. Please park in this area and walk down to the end of the road through the stone gate to the entrance of our preserve (2/10 of a mile).
Parking at the entrance of the Preserve is for people on official business, elderly and handicapped visitors only.
