Community Picnic

Join RRCT for a Community Picnic at Intervale Preserve in New Gloucester on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm!

Gather with family, friends, and neighbors for a fun afternoon celebrating community and the outdoors. Bring a blanket or a chair and enjoy live bluegrass music by Cumberland Crossing while we grill burgers and hot dogs. You're also welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share!

There will be ice cream, lawn games, and plenty of open space to relax, explore, and connect with fellow RRCT supporters—whether you're a longtime member or discovering RRCT for the first time. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one of New Gloucester's beautiful natural spaces while spending time with friends, neighbors, and fellow conservation enthusiasts.

‍Location: Community Gathering Area, Lower Village parcel of Intervale Preserve (see map below)

Parking: Available at the church parking lot, 19 Gloucester Hill Rd, New Gloucester.

Directions: From the parking area, enter the preserve via the Lower Village Access Trail, marked by a yardarm sign and two boulders at the intersection of Gloucester Hill Road and Church Road. Follow the wide trail downhill for approximately 900 feet and go past the kiosk to the mowed gathering area with picnic tables, music, and festivities.‍

Please RSVP to let us know you're coming! A $5 suggested donation helps support RRCT's programs and events. RRCT volunteers and a guest attend free of charge. Cash donations will also be gladly accepted at the event.
