Summer 2026 Internship Opportunity

We are excited to share that Royal River Conservation Trust (RRCT) has been selected as a host site for the 2026 Richard G. Rockefeller Internship Program. Established by the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, this program pairs 11 Maine college students with land trusts across the state.

This is a paid, full-time, 10-week summer internship from June 1 to August 7, 2026 (40 hrs/week, $18/hour). The intern placed with RRCT will work closely with our three-person team and gain hands-on experience in land stewardship, GIS mapping, community engagement, and communications.

Intern responsibilities may include trail maintenance and invasive plant control, assisting with volunteer workdays, monitoring conservation easements, supporting summer event planning and execution, and helping create social media content and interpretive materials.

Applications are due by February 13, 2026. For more information on eligibility requirements and application details, visit Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s intern website. In the application form, don't forget to rank Royal River Conservation Trust as your first choice! If you have questions or would like to learn more about the opportunity at RRCT, please reach out to us directly.
