Help Protect the Royal River Watershed — All Year-End Gifts Matched Dollar for Dollar

The Royal River watershed is growing wilder each year—and 2025 has been a milestone year for conservation.

This year, Royal River Conservation Trust opened two new properties for public use, expanding the more than 6,100 acres of conserved land throughout the watershed. These lands safeguard an extraordinary diversity of wildlife while offering meaningful opportunities for people to explore, reflect, and connect with nature. From great blue heron rookeries to open fields dotted with sandhill cranes, the signs of successful conservation are everywhere. Seeing community members out and about on our properties reminds us of why we do this work. These lands are for you to enjoy—free of charge—now and forever.

Protecting the Royal River watershed takes sustained commitment and community support. To continue this work, we rely on individuals who care deeply about the future of our river, wildlife, and communities. To sustain this work, we are asking you to donate today and ensure we can continue representing YOUR interest in local land conservation.

This year’s annual appeal is bolstered by a $25,000 challenge grant that will match—dollar for dollar—all new and returning year-end gifts to Royal River Conservation Trust! Your gift will have twice the impact, helping us conserve land, steward protected properties, and represent your voice in local land conservation efforts.

Individual giving remains our largest and most reliable source of operational support, and your investment is needed now more than ever. The promise of a free-flowing Royal River amplifies the importance of our work throughout the watershed. With your help, we can build on our momentum and ensure the Royal River watershed continues to grow wilder for generations to come. We are excited by what the future holds and ask you consider making a gift today.

For you, for the river, for our communities, for our future.
