Up to and following the Yarmouth Town Council's unanimous vote to allow the removal of the Bridge Street and East Elm Street Dams a coalition of non-profit organizations, state and federal agencies and local volunteers have worked tirelessly to help the town coordinate this historic effort. Over the past 16 months this coalition has raised nearly half of the money needed to remove both dams. Additionally there has been significant effort to coordinate the necessary permits, permissions and contracts to bring aboard a contractor to remove the first dam over the next several months. The Royal River Conservation Trust is a proud partner in this coalition and collectively we have committed to help raise $300,000 from local families and businesses to serve as a match for a foundation gift of the same amount. Your donation will help to restore the Royal into a healthy and thriving river once again. All donations through this page will go directly toward dam removal and restoration efforts.
