Chris Franklin
Chris joined RRCT in February 2025. Previously Chris served as a land protection specialist with the Maine Farmland Trust, and prior to that he served for 11 years as the Executive Director of the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust. Since receiving his degree in geography at the University of Colorado Chris has dedicated his life’s work to “the intersection of people and place”. His career has also included stints in New Mexico, California, and Alaska.
Chris and his wife Julie have raised three kids in Maine together. They currently live in North Yarmouth, where they enjoy their gardens, nearby access to the Royal River, and seeking out new Maine adventures.
As an avid fisherman, Chris is especially excited by the many opportunities dam removal from the Royal River will present to our communities to participate in its rebirth as a free-flowing river.
